Diphoterine® is an emergency rinsing solution for the decontamination of chemical splash on the skin or in the eye.
The Diphoterine® solution complies with the EN Standard (EN15154), is a class 2a medical device and is supplied in the Republic of Ireland under HPRA rules and in Northern Ireland under the guidelines of MHRA. It is safe to use in the eyes, on the skin and in the oral and nasal cavities.
The DIPHOTERINE® solution, thanks to its effectiveness, washes the chemical, stops the penetration and removes the dangerous product from the tissues quickly with a small volume.
It is polyvalent and is proven to be effective on a huge range of corrosive and irritant chemicals. The Diphoterine® solution is a Hypertonic aqueous Amphoteric Chelating Agent (HaACA) that stops the aggressive action of the chemicals and quickly returns the tissue to its natural state. (exceptions are Hydrofluoric Acid and derivatives, for which you require Hexalfuorine®)
The product has been in use in Ireland for more than 25 years by companies such as; Sterling Pharma, Rusal Aughinish Alumina, Analog Devices, Amgen, Sanofi Genzyme and Pfizer, to name a few.
